What is Gestational Surrogacy?
Gestational surrogacy is the most common and advanced form of surrogacy today. In this process, the surrogate carries a child with whom she has no biological connection.
An embryo is created through in vitro fertilization (IVF), using the egg and sperm of the Intended Parents or donors. The embryo is then transferred to the surrogate, who carries the pregnancy to term.
This modern approach enables individuals and couples — including cancer survivors, those facing infertility, single parents, and LGBTQ+ families — to experience the journey of parenthood from conception to birth.
